Machinery Function Features
GS131 is a gang saw designed for the quick sawing of marble blocks by means of diamond blades.
Stemming from the fusion of extensively tested technical solutions and PEDRINI cutting edge technology, GS131 allows for high cutting stroke and ensures straight cuts and maximum lowering speed.
The special “pendulum” system which allows the blades holder frame to move without any friction, makes this machine smooth and efficient.
The gang saw GS131 is mainly composed of:
. four-columns structure connected to each other;
. raising and lowering platform housing the block carrier trolley;
. closed blades holder frame;
. group with double connecting rod flywheel for the constant movement of the blades holder frame.
Mechanical components large dimension render GS131 a machine at the highest level in quality, sturdiness and reliability thus providing the user the maximum performances in time. The standard equipment of the machine
includes a block carrier trolley.
The four very large section columns are made in heavy normalized steel work.
Each column has been built and machined as a solid piece, that comprises the relevant guide for the block holder platform vertical slliding, to guarantee the perfect geometry of the entire machine.
The accurate machining operation performed on all the connecting surfaces allows for easy and correct assembly of the columns with the transversal and the longitudinal beams, to form the machine supporting structure.
The compactness of the structural welding and of the mechanical parts is ultrasound controlled.
All the parts have undergone structural checks following the FEM (Finite Element Method) and their precision ensures perfect machine geometry and easy and correct in loco assembly.
The structural components surfaces are protected with three coats applied after the sandblasting operation.
The raising and lowering movement of the block carrier trolley holder platform is performed through four large screws, moved upward by four rotating lead nuts equipped with drop-free devices and wear control.
The four gear motors containing the lead nuts are connected by a direct transmission, without any interposition of chains, driven by a gear motor
for top and low speeds.
The screws threads have been finished with a rolling operation that provided the pitch precision and an hardened smooth surface.
The block carrier trolley lifting platform slides on two “V”prismatic guides and on two flat guides; all the guides are covered by interchangeable stainless steel plates.
The correct vertical sliding movement is ensured by sliding blocks lined with low friction coefficient material and held in contact with the guides by a pre-loaded system that amortizes the cutting stress.
