Machinery Function Features
Machine for calibrating and polishing granite strips. It is available with a number of calibrating and/or polishing heads varying according to the needs. Calibrating spindles with adjustable processing width to fit the same tool for all the formats.
Pallet covered with wear-resistant steel plates. Movable beam with adjustable width and speed. Polishing heads rising and lowering driven through double pneumatic piston. Polishing heads for 7 abrasives. Spindles ROTOR and counterpressure system are standard equipment on all polishing heads.
Continuous belt polishing machine for granite
This machine has been designed for gauging and polishing 650 mm max. wide strips with trimmed ends. SUPERNOVA B065GV is equipped with operational elements that have been individuated, rendered efficient and reliable as a result of an experience which has matured throughout the technological evolution of more than 1000 machines manufactured in the past 25 years by PEDRINI. SUPERNOVA B065GV, that has been upgraded with exclusive technology, achieves top level productivity, quality and flexibility whilst reducing consumption, maintenance and depreciation.
Exclusive polishing heads drive technology that reduces energy and abrasive consumption and eliminates maintenance. The polishing heads are operated through patented ROTOR direct drive spindles assembled in the centre of the mobile beam and equipped with an easy-to-use individual device for the precision centring. The direct drive, that works without transmission belts and grooved shafts, avoids radial stress on the spindle bearings, increases their life significantly whilst saving about 15% of the absorbed energy, eliminates maintenance. All spindle components have the centre of gravity on the spindle rotation axis and their considerable weight, that includes the motors and is controlled by counter-pressure, stabilizes the polishing heads action. Owing to this, ROTOR spindles ensure optimal operating conditions thus enabling the heads to achieve the best polishing quality with the lowest tools consumption.
Exclusive polishing technology for granite. The polishing action is performed by Pedrini patented heads, that drive the abrasive supports in a sequential way with high frequency pendular motion. The heads mechanism comprises high precision large dimension components that operate in oil bath at very low speed with no components wear in time. This manufacturing technology, that reduces to zero the clearance in the supports pendular motion, realizes abrasives maximum efficiency and eliminates the maintenance. Each Pedrini patented head hosts 7 abrasives rather than the traditional 6 thus increasing considerably the line potential.
Exclusive technology for processing width fast adjustment to allow for maximum production flexibility. - The processing width adjustment is performed very rapidly through a mechanism that moves both guides simultaneously for the machine entire length. - The guides symmetric displacement is driven through right and left hand threaded rods that operate into oil bath shielded housings. - Beam transversal stroke is quickly adjusted, even while machine is moving, through an handle located in a comfortable frontal position. - Two mechanical indicators read on a metering scale the amplitude of the beam transversal stroke.
