CLASSIC EXPORTS was started in the year 1999 by Naresh Babu, Rudra Murthy, Ponnappa and Iftiquar Ahmed and commenced the business of manufacturing & export of granite monuments and granite products to France, Germany and Czech Republic.
Firm Background:
Starting with a humble turn over of 32 lakhs in 1999-2000, today the Firm has reached a turn over of 18 crores. Although the Firm has clients in all places cited above, the majority of all its exports goes towards European countries like France & Italy. This has been a conscious and deliberate decision based on the facts that the French Market is very specialized and more difficult to penetrate due to language barrier and type of work, thus less competition. Hence the Company thought it wise to focus and specialize in one market rather than spreading thin. Over the years, We have purchased one more unit in name of Advent Stone and has developed a strong team of well trained and skilled workforce that has been with the company since its inception. All our production is for export, except for some of it, which cannot be used for the same, is being converted for the local market, which is less than 5% of our overall production
Background Of Promoters:
Presently there are four active Partners directly involved in the business: Mr. Naresh Babu, Mr. Iftiquar Ahmed, Mr Ponnappa and Mr. Rudra Murthy, with more than 15-years experience in the field of Polished Granite Funeral Monuments
Raw Material:
The raw materials used for manufacturing are primarily Rough Granite & Sand stone Blocks of different colors and textures, sourced from all over India namely Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu & Karnataka in the south and Rajasthan in the north. Apart from this we would like to import rough block from Norway, South Africa and Brazil to be able to provide with the full range of materials to our clients who as of now are sourcing finished monuments of these granites from China, our main competitors..
Capital Goods & Production Facilities:
Classic Exports production facilities are situated in an owned land of 1 acre. Classic Exports has purchased their own machinery and are in the process of adding additional machines to meet the increasing demand vise vie quality and delivery schedules. The present capacity in both the units is 10 to 11 containers per month valued at 1.5 crores turnover per month.
