Pittsburgh Marble and Granite Company is a natural stone fabrication business. We provide custom fabrication, installation, and renovation of any natural stone product. We also stock granite and marble slab material in addition to "remnants" and sinks. Customers are also encouraged to list us as their fabricator of choice and shop for materials through several local distributors. We are a family owned business providing superior service and expertise with over 30 years of industry knowledge.
As our tagline states, Pittsburgh Marble and Granite Company, Inc. has been "Bringing Beauty to the Surface since 1926"! Situated on West Carson Street just past the Corliss Tunnels, Pittsburgh Marble Company, Inc. is one of the first stone fabrication businesses in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There are still original records and drawings of projects going back more than 70 years. Some of the major landmarks and churches in Pittsburgh had the stone installed by Pittsburgh Marble Company employees.
Purchased in 2005 by Jim and Carol Lippert, we are proud to be the third family to own the business and follow in the footsteps of our predicessors, the Eberhart family and the Labriola family. Main polisher and fabricator, John Labriola, has been working at Pittsburgh Marble since he was a teenager and has over 30 years experience in all aspects of stone fabrication.
Pittsburgh Marble and Granite Company is dedicated to providing superior customer service. Owner, Jim Lippert, is on site for every installation and will walk you through every facet of the process from picking the stone to best practices for installation. He is a fanatic when it comes to doing the job right! Jim's philosophy is simple: he loves what he does and he wants you to love it too! His attention to detail is legendary. Jim is an expert in the field and will take the time to educate you on the stone you have selected as well as the care of your finished product. Jim treats your project as if he were doing for himself; and yes, that means taking off his shoes and keeping the work site neat and tidy. He will not take short cuts or do anything that he wouldn't do in his own home.
