COOPSLATE is located in Papagaio, a district of the 'Slate Province of Minas Gerais' - the world's largest geological reserve of high quality slate.
Open quarries, nearly perfect horizontal splitting plane (cleavage) and multiple thickness of the extractable slabs make it possible for us to have lower costs and higher productivity in full compliance with environmental policies.
Because the environmental preservation has always been our constant concern the water used in the production is re-used after processes of decantation and filtering.
