MILATOS MARBLE QUARRIES

We are a company with a history of 30 years and the only legally licensed in quarrying Milatos marble. We started in 1981 and the stone of our quarries was used mostly in masonry construction, wall dressings and garden structures of the luxury hotels and villas in Crete. In the 1996 we went further and we determined, by laboratory testing and petrographical analysis, the physical and mechanical properties of our marble. We produce natural stone in blocks, smaller sized stone for masonry construction in pallets, rocks for gardens, and unique stones on which the nature has given shapes that even the worlds biggest sculptor would admire. The stone has sparsely splitting points that can give fabulous ineligible colors from red, yellow, beige, blue and grey, it can have stamps of plant fossils and also crystals that are shining. When it is cut and polished it gives a marvelous grey surface of unique beauty.
