The profound knowledge of the needs in the process of optimization of the stone cutting has brought to the ideation of a system that is simple to use, with reduced maintenance and high productivity.
With Primus there is the combination of productivity and versatility of the waterjet technology with the reliability and the ease of use Intermac solutions.
In brief Primus makes an art of essentiality. The cut is possible through a supersonic jet, that is obtained concentrating through a suitably calibrated hole, a water flow with the pressure about 413,7 MPa (about 60.000 psi) that produces a coherent jet of water projected at almost three times the speed of sound (810 m/s).
The jet can be added with abrasive, according to the materials to be cut and is directed against the surface of the work-piece and it is able to separate the parts by means of dual action:erosion and abrasion combined.
The enanchement of the water pressure is realized by specific hydraulically- driven volumetric pump, called “ultra high pressure intensifier” that determines the cut potential of the system

Starting from the firm’s long experience in the cut of tiles and natural stones, a new system has come on top of the traditional cutting machines already improved by Pragma: the waterjet machine SECO 2010. The aim of Pragma engineers was to realize an extremely advanced machine, versatile and easy in its use at the same time. Another optional outfit is the I.T.C.? system that corrects the natural tapering of the cut by compensating the high pressure water jet through the Numerical Control. The I.T.C.? system guarantees the realization of top quality products. When the compensation of the I.T.C.? system is running, the water jet is also directed against the advance direction so as to minimize the so-called “tail effect”, thus reducing the acceleration and deceleration ramps near the corners for a faster and more economical cutting cycle.
The optional KMT Streamline PRO pump with a maximum pressure of 6200 bar can be supplied as an alternative to the KMT Streamline pump of 4.130 bar. With 6200 bar, other conditions being equal, the cutting speed increases remarkably and the cutting cost per linear metre is cut down.
Head with 5 interpolated axes for inclined cutting required, for instance, to obtain the 45° grooves. C axis with 450° rotation and A axis with +/- 69° inclination. This device can be equipped with ITC system for automatic jet tapering compensation and with continuous rotation.

The walls of the tank are made of stainless steel, while its bottom consists of a steel plate 8 mm thick.
The axes movements are through hardened helical racks and pinions (Alpha Wittestein, Germany) and linear slideways with preloaded bearings (Bosch Rexroth).
