Brownhill Granite
The orbicular granite of Ruskeavuori is an extremely rare Finnish stone. Its properties are similar to those of Finnish granite, and as such it is suitable for even the most demanding building projects. The binding agent between the orbs usually is medium-grained granite, but the grain size is subject to great variations, and in places there are coarse-grained areas rich in quartz. The main minerals of the binding agent include potash feldbspar, plagioclase, quartz and biotite. Occasionally, fluorite, muscovite, titanite and zircon can also be found. In places, the plagioclase grains are strongly metamorphic. Applications: small table tops 1 x 2 m, bowls, dishes and other small objects.
