M2 Mining Construction Tourism Industry and Foreign Trading Corporation has started a new marble production that is called “Turkish Coffee Gold” in Çorum-Çalıca-Kızılkaya region. First of all , “Turkish Coffee Gold” marble was seen in İzmir International fair 2006 ( and last 2007 )and afterwards it was sequencely participated at İstanbul Natural Stone 2007 , Italy-Verona Marble Fairs 2007 and Anatolia Stone 2007 in Antalya. Attention was highly remarkable by participants in these professional fairs The reason of the success of “ Turkish Coffee Gold” is not only it’s conformity to international standarts but also it’s better qualities compared to other coloured marbles. It is produced from the area that has a medium reserve(1,94 million m3) with % 55 recovery ratio(the world average is % 40). Block production for S/T and cut-rock sizes is possible from the quarry. It’s general qualities (like polish condition absorption and trimming) and physical , mechanical and technological qualities are tested in an international laboratory(General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration of Turkey – MTA- Mineral Analysis and Technology Laboratories). Laboratory results are convenient for fields of utilization. Any desired size strips and slabs can be produced from the blocks. Its water absorption and porosity degree is % 0,7 and its mechanical properties are enough to use for indoor and outdoor plating, flooring and decoration. Because of its unique harmony which is composed of red-brown with white-greenish yellow colours and homogen pattern “ Turkish Coffee Gold” has been preferred by lots of decoratos, architects and civil engineers. When compared with current price, dark coloured marbles have higher prices than light coloured such as white and beige. But sale prices and conditions of “ Turkish Coffee Gold” ( especially blocks ) are near to light coloured marbles and race alternative coloured marbles.
